The Occupational Therapist & Speech Pathologist (paediatrics) role at Yarran Early Intervention Services focuses on providing evidence-based, family-centred support that builds on each child’s strengths, interests and potential. This hybrid role is based on the Central Coast of NSW, with a combination of sessions in clinic, homes, early childhood settings and the community, alongside some work-from-home flexibility for planning, documentation and telehealth. Day-to-day tasks include understanding children’s developmental, communication, sensory and functional needs; working with families to identify meaningful goals; and providing practical, play-based support within everyday routines and environments. The role involves working closely with caregivers, educators and other professionals, maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Additional responsibilities include supporting families to build confidence and capacity, sharing knowledge and strategies, contributing to service planning, and helping strengthen Yarran’s early intervention programs.
