We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented Project Support Officer for a 2 month contract to join our fast-paced project team supporting a major Victorian public sector initiative. Reporting directly to the Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing high-volume HR project administration, strict candidate compliance verification, and tracker management to ensure seamless project delivery.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented Project Support Officer for a 2 month contract to join our fast-paced project team supporting a major Victorian public sector initiative. Reporting directly to the Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing high-volume HR project administration, strict candidate compliance verification, and tracker management to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Verification: Review, audit, and verify mandatory onboarding documentation.
• Project Administration & Tracking: Maintain real-time candidate trackers across various recruitment stages, ensuring accurate data entries and system syncs.
• Active Candidate Follow-Ups: Monitor candidate progression, executing 3–5 day follow-up workflows for outstanding onboarding requirements.
• Scheduling & Support: Assist with booking candidate assessment sessions, information centers, and site inductions.
• Escalation & Quality Control: Conduct regular data audits and elevate complex compliance cases or discrepancies directly to project leadership.

Key Selection Criteria

• HR / Recruitment Project Experience: Prior experience in HR administration, recruitment operations, or project support, ideally within high-volume environments.
• Compliance Expertise: Proven background verifying pre-employment documentation and applying strict compliance checks.
• Uncompromising Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data management and spreadsheet tracking.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands‑on skills with Excel / Google Sheets and familiarity with candidate management tools.
