Band 5 – Starting from $80,410.20 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full-time 38 hours per week only)

About the Role

The City of Yarra is looking for a dedicated and collaborative Art Collections and Access Officer to join our Arts and Culture team. This exciting role will care for and manage Council’s distinctive collection of contemporary art, heritage items and public artworks across indoor and outdoor spaces. Working with colleagues and community partners, you’ll help support the collection’s immediate and future needs while creating accessible and meaningful ways for the community to connect with, experience and enjoy this valuable cultural asset

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in collection management, good interpersonal and organisational skills, to help deliver on the needs of the Collection in line with our Collection Policy, the Council Plan, and annual planning outcomes. This will include but is not limited to managing maintenance and conservations works; administration such as maintaining the collection data base and records; and delivering opportunities for community engagement.
