We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the next generation of our 'On-Field' technology: the connected devices themselves, and the IoT platform that provisions, connects and manages them. From wearable devices and docks, to portable and fixed live capture infrastructure, to the platform and applications that tie an entire fleet together.

\n

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Director of Product for On-Field monitoring, you'll own our Connected Devices and IoT Platform products end-to-end — the firmware applications running on our devices, the platform that connects and manages them at scale, and the client applications our customers use to work with them. Turning customer insight and hard data into a clear roadmap, sharp prioritisation and well-defined requirements: driving these products from ideation through to general availability. You'll be the voice of the customer in every decision, working alongside engineering, design, research and development and fellow PMs to ship products that exceed our customers' expectations.

This is a role for a technically fluent product leader. It requires genuine connected-product development experience spanning device firmware, IoT platform and client applications and a proven track record of bringing complex Connected-Device products to market: someone who can engage credibly across the full stack, navigate the realities of delivering products to high performance sporting organisations, and hold the line on the quality our customers rely on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the 'on-field' Connected Devices and IoT Platform space as the single point of product accountability
\n
• Own the IoT platform roadmap: device provisioning and onboarding, connectivity and data ingestion, fleet management and remote diagnostics, and the scalability and reliability of the services every device in the field depends on.
\n
• Be the voice of the customer — map customer journeys, analyse competitor products, and uncover unmet market needs.
\n
• Provide vision and direction to your team and other stakeholders for the continued innovation and evolution of our Connected Device ecosystem.
\n
• Define how devices, platform and client applications behave as one system — pairing and provisioning, connectivity, data capture and sync, firmware delivery, diagnostics and fleet visibility — rather than as a set of separately optimised products.
\n
• Own the client application experience across mobile, desktop and the web, making device setup, live monitoring and troubleshooting fast and reliable for staff working under match-day pressure.
\n
• Define and prioritise the APIs and SDKs that expose device and session data to internal teams and third-party integrators, and hold the line on versioning and backwards compatibility.
\n
• Translate customer problems and product objectives into well-defined specifications the engineering teams can build from.
\n
• Own the firmware release strategy for connected devices including over-the-air update, version and compatibility management, staged rollouts and rollback
\n
• Lead field testing, beta programs and GA deployments across the connected system, synthesising real-world feedback into product improvements.
\n
• Partner with engineers and third-party partners on R&D into emerging connectivity, edge processing and device management technologies, focused on the value it unlocks for users.
\n

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

\n

\n
• 5+ years in product management, including 2 years of experience taking connected-device products from concept through to launch
\n
• Demonstrated experience owning all sides of a connected product; the embedded/firmware behaviour, the IoT platform services and client applications.
\n
• Experience with the platform side of a connected product: device provisioning, fleet management, telemetry or data ingestion, and remote diagnostics — including the trade-offs involved in scaling those services.
\n
• Strong project management experience involving multiple stakeholders in different timezones
\n
• You engage credibly with firmware, IoT platform and application engineers, follow the trade-offs, and challenge the thinking effectively
\n
• Deep customer empathy and proven experience leading customer discovery processes
\n
• Be data driven in decision making, and be able to show an understanding of measuring impact
\n
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
\n
• Ability to work autonomously and self-motivated with high intellectual curiosity
\n
• Results-oriented mindset with a bias for action.
\n
• Experience working in sports technology, wearables, or connected device ecosystems is essential
\n
• Experience in GPS, Local Positioning System (LPS), ultra wide band or bluetooth technologies, desirable
\n

• You have established a regular product operating rhythm, including roadmap reviews, customer feedback loops, product health metrics, and cross-functional prioritisation processes.
\n
• You have identified and prioritised the highest-impact opportunities to improve product quality, reliability, customer adoption, and operational scalability.
\n
• You have successfully delivered key roadmap milestones while balancing customer value, technical constraints, and business priorities.
\n

Within 12 months...

• You have delivered meaningful improvements in connected-system reliability and in the client application experience, resulting in increased customer confidence, adoption and reduced support burden.
\n
• You have improved the scalability, observability and lifecycle management of the IoT platform, and partnered with hardware and firmware product and engineering to ensure device capability, firmware, platform and applications land as a coherent system.
\n
• You have established a roadmap that balances innovation, customer needs, commercial outcomes, and technical sustainability.
\n
