As a Senior Data & AI Cloud Architect in FSI for Data, AI/ML, and Generative AI, you will serve as a pivotal technology and strategic advisor for AWS's key FSI customers across the ANZ region. This role will be part of ProServe Sales. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS technologies, data architectures, AI/ML, and the broader technology ecosystem. You will engage directly with CDOs, CDAOs, CTOs, and CIOs to drive strategic data and generative AI initiatives, ensuring that AWS services align with and enhance our customers' IT and business strategies. Your expertise will help our customers enhance their innovation speed, IT efficiency, and the business value derived from their technological investments.

In this role, the candidate should have hands‑on experience in planning and executing complex data & analytics engagements, architecting and implementing complex Cloud Native platforms, and providing consultancy. This, coupled with cross‑industry business acumen, will be used to guide and own the sales and delivery of ProServe engagements.

This role will partner with ProServe Sales and AWS Global Sales (AGS) to accelerate customer outcomes and AWS platform adoption.

Key job responsibilities Strategic Direction And Development \n

\n
• Define and develop overall strategic direction for AWS customers and internal AWS teams designing, building, optimizing, transforming, or otherwise migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
\n
• Partner with AWS Account Manager and ProServe Sales on accelerating innovation, account strategy, and technical execution, aligning to increase business value through cloud adoption, covering people, processes, and technology aspects.
\n
• Engage with C-level executives to guide their strategic technology initiatives and support their data transformation journeys.
\n
• Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world‑class data solutions and products built on AWS, while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
\n
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations to enable them to become cloud advocates.
\n

Leadership And Collaboration \n

\n
• Drive the development of outcome-based business-IT solution proposals in collaboration with sales and solution architecture teams.
\n
• Act as the AWS executive technical sponsor for strategic customer initiatives, ensuring alignment with AWS's Global Service offerings and the customer's strategic goals.
\n
• Ensure that solutions across strategic programs adhere to AWS's enterprise architecture and security best practices and principles, and achieve intended business outcomes.
\n
• Mentor and lead internal teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
\n
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge, sales, and delivery content amongst the AWS Professional Services community.
\n

Partnership Development \n

\n
• Engage with system integrators and strategic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) across various customer scenarios to enhance solution offerings.
\n
• Identify common patterns in customer needs to drive standardization and repeatability in AWS solutions.
\n

Basic Qualifications \n

\n
• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
\n
• 5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
\n
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
\n
• 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience
\n
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
\n
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
\n
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience
\n

Preferred Qualifications \n

\n
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing, or experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware
\n
• Knowledge of technical skills such as coding / statistics (python, R, Django, Spark etc.), data visualization, research
\n
• AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification, or Cloud Technology Certification
\n
• Hands‑on technical experience & expertise in technology automation, implementation, integration, and/or deployment.
\n
