Aboutthe Role

Anexciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated projectprofessional to join the Governance, Integrity, Legal and Risk team as a LegalManagement Project Officer.

Thisnewly created 18-month position will lead the implementation of Council'sfuture legal services operating model, a strategic organisational reformdesigned to strengthen legal governance, improve risk management, enhanceknowledge retention and establish Council's first in-house legal function.

Reportingto the Manager Governance, Integrity, Legal and Risk, you will coordinate abroad range of project activities including:

• Developingand managing project plans, schedules, milestones and reportingframeworks.
• Designingand implementing governance frameworks, procedures and business rules.
• Establishinglegal instruction, approval and triage processes.
• Developinga centralised legal advice repository and information managementframework.
• Coordinatingthe migration of historical legal records and advice.
• Leadingstakeholder engagement, communication and change management activities.
• Supportingthe integration of Council's new General Counsel and Senior Legal Counselroles into the organisation.

Youare a collaborative and highly organised project professional who enjoysimproving systems, building stakeholder relationships and driving meaningfulorganisational change.

Youwill bring:

• Relevantqualifications in project management, public administration, law or arelated discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstratedexperience delivering complex projects, programs or business improvementinitiatives.
• Experiencedeveloping governance frameworks, policies, procedures and operationalprocesses.
• Strongstakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship management skills.
• Excellentwritten communication skills, including the preparation of reports,briefings and project documentation.
• Experiencemanaging competing priorities and delivering outcomes within tighttimeframes.
• Stronganalytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Experiencesupporting organisational change and adoption of new ways of working.
• Experienceusing project management, document management and business systems tosupport effective project delivery.

Experiencein governance, legal services, compliance, risk management or local governmentenvironments will be highly regarded.
