We are looking for a Senior Social Worker experienced in the area of bereavement, grief and loss. This is a temporary (until July 2027) one day a week position.

What you'll be doing
You will be working as a member of a supportive multidisciplinary team at Hornsby Ku-ring- gai Hospital supporting patients and their families experiencing end of life through provision of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Social Work.
Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current social work practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in theNSW Health OASV Policy(Page 11).You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/ Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
