About the Role

You will focus on underground ventilation planning and monitoring, engineering project delivery and operational mine planning support. This is a hands-on technical role that will contribute directly to the safe and efficient development of Sunday Creek into a producing underground mine.

What You'll Drive

• Underground ventilation design, monitoring and optimisation
• Compliance with Victorian OHS Regulations 2017 (Part 5.3)
• Mine design, scheduling and technical support activities
• Drill and blast design, execution support and performance monitoring
• Delivery of engineering and capital projects from scoping through to commissioning
• Budgeting support, forecasting and operational reconciliation
• Collaboration with geology, geotechnical, survey, environmental and operations teams
• Clear communication of technical information, risks and opportunities
• Participation in site inspections, hazard identification and safety initiatives
• Continuous improvement initiatives across technical and operational functions

Who You Are

You're a motivated mining professional who enjoys solving technical problems and contributing to a growing operation. You can balance attention to detail with practical outcomes, work effectively with operational teams and take ownership of the work that helps keep people safe while delivering results.

Your Background

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• Underground hard rock mining experience
• Ventilation design and monitoring experience highly regarded
• Proficiency in Deswik and Ventsim/Pumpsim Design, or willingness to develop these skills
• Sound understanding of drill and blast principles
• Exposure to engineering project delivery or capital works (desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in both office and underground environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities
