We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Technical Manager – QLD to join our Digital Technical Services team. Based at Mt Gravatt and supporting a portfolio of cinemas across South Brisbane, this is a senior leadership role responsible for technical excellence, facilities oversight, asset management, people leadership and operational support across the circuit.

This role provides the opportunity to influence the future of cinema technology while developing technical teams, supporting major projects and partnering with operational leaders to drive performance across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Technical Managers across your portfolio, building capability, engagement and succession pathways.
• Provide senior-level technical support across projection, audio, content management and entertainment technology systems.
• Oversee facilities management activities to ensure cinema assets, infrastructure and presentation standards remain at the highest level.
• Manage Repairs & Maintenance expenditure, balancing operational requirements with strategic cost control and value optimisation.
• Partner closely with Queensland Operations teams to support revenue growth initiatives, operational efficiency and business performance.
• Conduct technical audits, site visits and performance reviews to ensure operational excellence and asset reliability.
• Manage technical administration, reporting, inventory controls and contractor relationships.
• Support major capital projects including refurbishments, technology upgrades, equipment replacement programs and new cinema developments.
• Foster strong working relationships across Operations, DTS, Facilities and external service providers.
• Champion safety, compliance and industry best practice across all sites.
• Participate in national technical initiatives and on-call support requirements.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in a Technical Manager or equivalent senior technical leadership role.
• Strong technical expertise across cinema projection, sound systems, content management and entertainment technologies.
• Experience managing facilities, maintenance programs, contractors and asset lifecycles.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective outcomes.
• Exceptional leadership and coaching capability with a passion for developing people.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for cinema, technology and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• A commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement and innovation.
