ABOUT THE ROLE And this is where you come in. \n

As the Senior Estimator leading the delivery of estimating services for our expansion into the QLD market, will expose you to both multistorey residential and commercial opportunities in these markets, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our continued growth and success. From the early design and costing phases through to project delivery, your expertise will be critical in providing accurate, high-quality, and timely estimating outcomes.

You will play a key role in ensuring client expectations, compliance requirements, authority standards, and OH&S obligations are consistently met, delivering fit-for-purpose outcomes across a diverse range of projects. With no two projects the same, your adaptability, commercial acumen, and proactive approach will be essential to succeeding in this dynamic role.

Leadership \n

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to mentoring, supporting, and developing junior team members, including Cadets and new employees.
\n
• Contribute positively to our culture and community by completing four hours of volunteering each financial year through our charity partners, internal committees, or other Company initiatives.
\n

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Prepare detailed budget estimates and cost plans from initial design concept through to Building Approval stage.
\n
• Develop Firm Price costings and detailed Descriptions of Works for contractual documentation.
\n
• Undertake value management assessments and feasibility reviews, considering buildability, cost efficiency, and construction methodologies.
\n
• Attend design meetings and collaborate closely with project consultants, supporting Design Managers during the estimating phase.
\n
• Source, assess, and review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accurate and competitive pricing outcomes.
\n
• Support construction teams with programming and construction duration advice in consultation with suppliers and subcontractors.
\n
• Assist Business Development Managers with client presentations and project submissions as required.
\n

Qualifications and Experience \n

\n
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a Senior Estimator or similar estimating role within the construction industry.
\n
• Strong working knowledge and hands‑on experience with industry estimating software, such as Buildsoft or CostX.
\n
• Experience pricing multi-storey residential and commercial developments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
\n
