Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School is located in the Parkview Estate in the new development area of Echuca West. Our school began with Stage 1 of the Echuca Education Precinct built on the site. Stage 2 saw the completion of The Centre, 5/6 Classrooms and the Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School. Both the Primary School and Specialist School share a new full court gymnasium, administration building and other facilities such as the library. The school is a new architecturally designed building that promotes inclusive education and team teaching with flexible learning spaces, the building caters beautifully for our students and teachers.

Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School has a student population of 180 students from Grades Foundation to Six. The school has two Principal class staff, 1 Leading Teacher (MHiPS), 1 ESS 2-4 (DIP), 1 Learning Specialist, 13 teaching staff and 20 Education Support staff. Our qualified teaching staff undertake continuous professional learning to ensure that they are at the edge of current educational research and are able to effectively use acknowledged `best practice’ in learning and teaching methodologies. This is evidenced through our commitment to on-going action-research and specialist support from Regional Education Improvement Leaders. A Koori Education Support Officer provides families with additional support.

An extensive Kinder to Foundation transition program is offered to ensure our new students feel connected to the school and this is supported through our Community Connections program. We want our children to learn to their full potential and have this progress communicated to families via our Sentral platform. Our Child Safe Standards and Wellbeing Policy encompasses explicit procedures, which support the school community and fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation of individuality and safety. Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in assessing, conceptualising and analysing wellbeing issues.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies for complex needs.
• Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively with agencies and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team that informs and influences the work of others in the engagement and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Clear understanding of legislative requirements regarding privacy of health information.

Role

Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.

Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.

Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of support services to students, teachers, parents and other school clients.
• Ensure all external providers deliver the required service.
