About the Role \n

We are seeking a full-time temporary Accounts Payable Officer for a 13–15-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity to provide parental leave cover (Dates tbc Nov/Dec 2026 through to Jan/Feb 2028. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function. This hands‑on role is suited to a highly organised and detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. You will bring a proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a willingness to contribute to the success of a collaborative and entrepreneurial team.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
\n
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor queries
\n
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs
\n
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
\n
• Maintain vendor master data, including validation of vendor information and bank detail changes
\n
• Review, code and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, employee expenses and petty cash claims
\n
• Support month end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations
\n
• Assist the finance team with accounts payable cashflow forecasting
\n
• Contribute to the annual audit, including liaison with auditors
\n
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and provide ongoing support to the Finance Manager and broader finance team
\n

Must‑have \n

\n
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
\n
• Good reconciliation and analytical problem‑solving skills
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
\n

Nice-to-have experience \n

\n
• Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP Concur
\n
• Understanding of GST compliance and financial controls
\n
• Commercial experience in retail is highly regarded
\n

• Base salary + super + bonus potential
\n
• Hybrid Working:Three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) from our Australian Support Office at Chadstone Shopping Centre, with flexibility to work from home on remaining days.
