Our Branch

Information Services branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council's day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.

The Role

\n

As a Principal Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of delivering high-impact digital initiatives that support Council's vision for a connected, sustainable, and innovative Brisbane. Every project you lead will contribute to a more connected, efficient, and vibrant city. Think: better services, smarter systems, and real outcomes for real people.

What you'll do:

\n

\n
• lead complex, high-value ICT projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with Council's strategic objectives
\n
• champion governance and assurance processes, providing expert guidance to project teams and stakeholders
\n
• collaborate across ISB and Council to embed best practices in project delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
\n
• drive innovation and continuous improvement in how we deliver digital experiences that truly benefit everyone – our people, our customers and Brisbane
\n

To be successful you will have:

\n

\n
• experience delivering complex projects within agreed timelines, budgets and quality expectations
\n
• strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work across diverse teams
\n
• sound knowledge of project management frameworks, tools and delivery practices.
\n
• well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear recommendations and insights
\n
• excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels
\n
• experience leading cross-functional teams and managing sensitive or high-profile initiatives
\n
• demonstrated success delivering ICT or technology-focused projects and programs.
\n
