We're currently looking for an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager to join a well-established and growing accounting firm in Sydney CBD.

\n

The firm has a strong reputation in the market and works with a diverse range of clients, from privately owned businesses through to larger and more complex groups. You'll have plenty of client contact, work closely with the Partners and have the opportunity to get involved in a good mix of compliance and advisory work.

The Role \n

• Manage your own portfolio of clients across Business Services and Tax, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of work and building strong relationships along the way
\n
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and management reports across a varied client base, dealing with a range of different structures and industries
\n
• Work with clients on tax planning, business structuring and general advisory matters, with the opportunity to get involved in more complex and interesting work
\n
• Be a key point of contact for your clients, getting to know their businesses and working with them to provide practical advice and solutions
\n
• Review work completed by junior accountants and provide support, guidance and feedback to help develop the wider team
\n
• Work closely with Partners on larger or more complex clients and have the opportunity to learn from experienced senior accountants within the business
\n
• Look beyond the compliance work and identify areas where you can provide additional value or advice to your clients
\n
• Take on increasing responsibility as you develop, with the opportunity to progress into a more senior leadership position within the team
\n

About You \n

\n
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards your qualification, with solid experience across Business Services and Tax
\n
• Strong public practice experience and comfortable managing a portfolio of clients from start to finish
\n
• Confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, with a good understanding of Australian tax and accounting requirements
\n
• Previous experience reviewing work or mentoring junior accountants and comfortable taking on more responsibility within a team
\n
• Strong communication skills and confident dealing directly with clients and Partners
\n
• Commercially minded and interested in developing your advisory skills alongside your technical accounting knowledge
\n
• An Assistant Manager ready to make the move into Manager, or an experienced Manager looking for a new opportunity
\n
