About the role:

The Senior HR Analyst supports the delivery of workforce insights that inform operational and strategic decision-making across Victoria Police. The role combines operational reporting responsibilities with analytical and improvement-focused work. A key component of the position involves producing cyclical workforce reporting, including extracting, validating and preparing workforce data for regular distribution to stakeholders. Accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are essential. Alongside these responsibilities, you will contribute to reporting improvements, analytical projects, dashboard development and initiatives that enhance the quality and accessibility of workforce information.

• Produce and distribute cyclical workforce reports, ensuring data is extracted, validated and delivered accurately and on time.
• Undertake data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance activities.
• Respond to regular and ad hoc workforce reporting requests.
• Monitor and maintain workforce reporting processes, identifying and resolving data and reporting issues.
• Conduct research, analysis and reporting to support workforce planning and decision-making.
• Prepare reports, recommendations and briefing material for stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain workforce reporting solutions, databases and HR information systems.
• Contribute to projects that improve reporting capability, data quality, automation and analytics maturity.
• Provide specialist advice on workforce data, reporting methodologies and HR information.
• Build producti ve relationships with stakeholders across Victoria Police.

About You

You are someone who enjoys working with data and understands the importance of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail. You are comfortable managing recurring reporting responsibilities while identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate activities and generate meaningful insights.

You will bring:

• Experience in workforce, HR, business or data analysis.
• Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
• Experience validating and interpreting complex data sets.
• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Experience with reporting tools, HR systems and Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement.

• This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
