Nexsus Marketing & Recruiting is a family-run business based in Port Melbourne, operating three Childcare Centres . Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Payroll/Bookkeeper with some administrative duties to join our team.
Working closely with our Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for the payroll of over 200 employees, keeping accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, and assisting with administrative tasks within our growing business.

Proficient in payroll processing (preferably in the Childcare Industry)
Ability to use your initiative
Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior-level bookkeeping
Exceptional reconciliation skills and strong financial accuracy
Fast and accurate data entry skills
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient experience using MYOB
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Professional, positive, and proactive attitude
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a small team
Liaising with stakeholders, including suppliers, early years staff, Department of Education
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office
Process accounts payable accurately and efficiently
Complete monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations
Reconcile supplier accounts and process payments
Assist with month-end processes, including preparation and lodgment of monthly management accounts
Prepare payroll and related reporting
Provide support to the Accounts Manager as required
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general administration duties
