Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practicesthat reduce reoffendingandconnect individuals toprograms,servicesand community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
is one of four service delivery streams within CCS. We are responsible for the development of mutually beneficial partnerships with government agencies and non-government organisations so that offenders can undertake unpaid work as part of their community based sentence imposed by the Courts of Victoria.
As a Community Work Officer, you will be responsible for providing community work opportunities and contracts to enable individuals to complete their community work hours and orders successfully. You will administer relevant community work practices including monitoring attendance and compliance with requirements at community work placements, and contracting individuals to appropriate local community work sites.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with Community Work Supervisors (field staff), community work partners and other relevant stakeholders, produce reports and standard documentation in line with procedural guidelines and undertake on-site risk assessments or other occupational health and safety processes as required.
Relevant experience in a related community service, not for profit or community development field is also desirable.
