Location: Truganina VIC

Sarkaria Autozone is seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team in Truganina, Victoria. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in a wide range of vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical tools
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering components
  • Conducting routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle inspections
  • Dismantling and reassembling vehicle components and engines as required
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance and safety
  • Performing scheduled maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Inspecting vehicles to identify wear and damage and recommending appropriate repairs
  • Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules
  • Ordering and managing spare parts and workshop supplies as required
  • Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
  • Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair timelines, and costs
  • Assisting in training and mentoring junior mechanics or apprentices when required

Position Requirements

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours if required
  • Commitment to long-term employment
