Job description
  • Driving HR vehicles across Melbourne and surrounding areas
  • Loading and unloading event hire equipment
  • Completing vehicle pre-start inspections
  • Ensuring loads are correctly distributed, restrained and secured for transport
  • Safely delivering and collecting equipment from event sites
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and logbooks where required
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties, including preparing, packing, checking and storing event equipment
  • Assisting with loading trucks and preparing equipment for upcoming jobs
  • Assisting with the installation and dismantling of marquees and event equipment when required
  • Working as part of the wider warehouse, transport and events team to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse, vehicle and work environment
  • Carrying out other general labouring and operational duties as required

Due to the nature of the events industry, weekend work, early starts and late finishes are at times a requirement of the role, particularly during busy event periods.

About You

  • Forklift licence (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience driving heavy vehicles
  • Good understanding of heavy vehicle compliance
  • Reliable, professional and works well as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and on event sites
  • Willing to assist with general labouring, marquee installation and event setup/pack-down
  • Ability to work safely and follow instructions
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and on weekends and public holidays
