About the Role

\n

Sydney Metro Security Services is seeking an experienced and highly organised Tender / Bid Writer to manage the preparation and submission of tenders, proposals, expressions of interest and capability statements.

\n

The candidate successful will work closely with management and operations to understand client requirements and develop professional submissions.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Identify and review relevant government, commercial and private-sector tender opportunities.
    • \n
  • Read and analyse tender documentation, including RFTs, RFQs, EOIs and procurement requirements.
    • \n
  • Develop tender response strategies and submission plans.
    • \n
  • Write clear, persuasive and professional responses to tender questions.
    • \n
  • Prepare capability statements, company profiles, methodologies and service proposals.
    • \n
  • Coordinate information from management, operations and relevant staff to ensure accurate responses.
    • \n
  • Prepare tender responses covering the full sector of Security Industry.
    • \n
  • Ensure submissions address every mandatory requirement and evaluation criterion.
    • \n
  • Develop and maintain a library of reusable tender content, policies, case studies and supporting documentation.
    • \n
  • Coordinate tender deadlines and ensure submissions are lodged accurately and on time.
    • \n
  • Review completed submissions for grammar, consistency, accuracy and professionalism.
    • \n
  • Work with management on pricing, resourcing and commercial components where required.
    • \n
  • Research prospective clients and understand their specific security requirements.
    • \n
  • Maintain a pipeline/calendar of upcoming tender opportunities.
    • \n
  • Continuously improve SMSS's tender templates and submission processes.
    • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • Previous experience in tender writing, bid management, proposal writing or procurement submissions.
    • \n
  • Strong written English and excellent attention to detail.
    • \n
  • Ability to understand complex tender documents and turn requirements into compelling responses.
    • \n
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
    • \n
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
    • \n
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how businesses win contracts.
    • \n
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
    • \n
  • Experience in the security, facilities management, construction, government, labour hire or similar industries would be highly regarded.
    • \n

Desirable

\n

    \n
  • Experience responding to NSW Government, Australian Government or local council tenders.
    • \n
  • Understanding of security industry compliance and licensing requirements.
    • \n
  • Experience preparing submissions for large commercial clients.
    • \n
  • Knowledge of WHS, ISO, quality management and risk-management requirements.
    • \n
  • Existing experience with tender portals such as AusTender, NSW eTendering and VendorPanel.
    • \n
