Koorana is currently looking for experienced, energetic and collaborative Early Childhood Educators to join our team on a casual/as needs basis. Casuals would be working across our inclusive preschools located at Roselands, Lakemba and Bass Hill.

\n

About the Role

\n

Koorana's Early Childhood Educators contribute to the operation of inclusive preschool programs across our preschools in Lakemba, Roselands, and Bass Hill. They work collaboratively with our teaching team to help deliver quality early childhood education programs which reflect the goals of the National Quality Curriculum Framework. They will also:

• Model a quality early childhood learning program.
\n
• Implement a play-based learning program.
\n
• Model professionalism, advocacy and representation.
\n
• Maintain effective communication to support the successful delivery of service to children and families.
\n
• Adhere to the national law and regulations, as outlined in Koorana's Policies and Procedures.
\n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\n

\n
• Experience working with children and parents and carers in their parenting role.
\n
• Ability to engage children in age and developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
\n
• Passionate about play-based education practice.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise, plan ahead, anticipate risks and problem solve.
\n
• Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
\n
• To be a team player.
\n
• Have a high standard of verbal and written communication skills.
\n

Qualifications & Certifications

\n

\n
• A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Certificate 3 or Diploma).
\n
• Working with Children Check.
\n
• National Police Check.
\n
• NDIS Worker Check.
\n
