We are currently seeking a dynamic First Nations Curator to join the La Perouse Museum at an exciting time in its development.The role oversees the care and representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander objects, artefacts, and artworks for the purposes of exhibition and conservation - making improvements within the Museum to better reflect the Aboriginal cultural significance of La Perouse and champions the implementation of First Nations cultural protocols.
The Curator First Nations develops engaging programs that focus on Aboriginal culture, across the Museum and Headland to amplify the cultural significance of La Perouse and raise awareness of Aboriginal culture and history.
The Curator First Nations will assist the Museum team to deliver programs including exhibition content, research, collections and programming.
