About The Role

\n

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse with demonstrated experience in Palliative Care to join our supportive and compassionate team at St John of God Murdoch Hospital on a permanent part-time basis, working 28 hours per week. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support their families throughout their healthcare journey. You will play an important role in promoting comfort, dignity and quality of life, while supporting patients and families through complex and often challenging circumstances. Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients receiving palliative care.
\n
• Assess and respond to patients' physical, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
\n
• Support effective symptom management, including pain and other complex symptoms associated with advanced illness.
\n
• Develop and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
\n
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families throughout their palliative care journey.
\n
• Advocate for patients and ensure their wishes, dignity, comfort and individual needs remain at the centre of care.
\n
• Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's condition, escalating concerns where required.
\n
• Work collaboratively with medical, allied health and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards and legislative

Your Skills And Experience

\n

\n
• You will be a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse who is committed to providing person-centred care to patients with life-limiting illness.
\n
• You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary team.
\n
• To succeed in this role, you will hold registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Previous experience in palliative care, oncology, medical nursing or caring for patients with complex and chronic health conditions will be highly regarded.
\n
• A relevant postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care or a related area will be highly regarded.
\n

• Salary: $109,599, to $115,681 pro rata for part-time, plus 12% superannuation
