Role Overview \n

We are seeking a highly experienced Service Assurance Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic direction, transformation, and modernization of Service Assurance and Operational Support Systems (OSS) within a large-scale telecommunications environment. This role will be responsible for defining enterprise-wide architectures that enable operational excellence, enhanced customer experience, proactive service management, and automation-driven network operations.

As a key technology leader, the successful candidate will partner with executive stakeholders across Network Operations, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, and Product organizations to establish future-state OSS capabilities that support next-generation networks, cloud-native architectures, intent-based networking, and AI-driven operational models.

Role: Service Assurance Enterprise Architect (Telecommunications) Location: Sydney Open for – Permanent Only Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Define, develop, and govern the target-state enterprise architecture across Service Assurance, Fault Management, Performance Management, Network Inventory, CMDB, Observability, and OSS ecosystems.
\n
• Establish long-term architecture strategies that align with business growth objectives, customer experience goals, operational efficiency targets, and digital transformation initiatives.
\n
• Create and maintain architecture blueprints, capability maps, reference architectures, standards, and technology roadmaps.
\n
• Drive architecture alignment across legacy, modern, and cloud-native operational platforms.
\n

OSS Transformation & Modernization \n

\n
• Develop and execute OSS transformation roadmaps that support business modernization, network evolution, and operational excellence objectives.
\n
• Lead large-scale transformation programs involving service assurance platforms, observability solutions, inventory systems, and operational tooling.
\n
• Identify opportunities to simplify, rationalize, and consolidate OSS landscapes while reducing operational complexity and technical debt.
\n
• Define migration strategies from traditional OSS environments toward cloud-native, API-driven, and event-driven architectures.
\n

Service Assurance Architecture \n

\n
• Architect end-to-end service assurance solutions enabling real-time monitoring, fault detection, performance management, service quality measurement, and customer experience visibility.
\n
• Design integrated assurance ecosystems that provide comprehensive service health insights across network, application, infrastructure, and customer layers.
\n
• Ensure assurance architectures support high availability, scalability, resilience, and operational reliability requirements.
\n
• Drive adoption of modern observability frameworks encompassing metrics, events, logs, traces, and customer experience analytics.
\n

Architecture Governance & Solution Design \n

\n
• Lead architecture governance activities including design reviews, technology assessments, standards compliance, and solution approvals.
\n
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions for suitability within the enterprise OSS ecosystem.
\n
• Establish enterprise architecture principles, governance frameworks, and design standards.
\n
• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic architecture objectives.
\n

Stakeholder Collaboration \n

\n
• Partner closely with CTO organizations, Enterprise Architecture teams, Network Operations, Engineering groups, Product Management, and Transformation leaders.
\n
• Act as the primary architecture advisor for service assurance and OSS modernization initiatives.
\n
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment between business, operational, and technology teams.
\n
• Communicate architecture vision, strategies, and transformation initiatives to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
\n

Strategic Advisory & Business Enablement \n

\n
• Provide executive-level technology consulting and strategic guidance on OSS and Service Assurance investments.
\n
• Contribute to business case development, investment planning, technology strategy, and vendor evaluation processes.
\n
• Support procurement and RFP activities by defining architectural requirements and technical evaluation criteria.
\n
• Present technology strategies, roadmap recommendations, and transformation outcomes to leadership forums and governance boards.
\n

Experience \n

\n
• 15+ years of experience within Telecommunications, OSS, Service Assurance, Network Operations, or Enterprise Architecture environments.
\n
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale OSS transformation programs.
\n
• Deep expertise in telecommunications operational support systems and network management domains.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working with Tier-1 telecommunications service providers.
\n
• Experience leading architecture governance and enterprise-wide technology strategy initiatives.
\n
