Recovery Support Worker - (Midland/Kelmscott/Stirling) About the role \n

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will be working within a supported accommodation environment, where you'll walk alongside residents on their recovery journey, helping them develop life skills, strengthen community connections and achieve their personal goals. We currently have 4 full-time positions available across the following locations:

\n

Monday: 7am-3pm; Tuesday: pm + sleepover shift, Wednesday and Thursdays: 230 -1030pm, Sunday: 7am - 3pm.

Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm + Tuesday sleepover

A day on the job will see you: \n

• Support residents to work towards their recovery, wellbeing and independence goals.
\n
• Build positive and meaningful relationships that foster trust, confidence and resilience.
\n
• Assist with daily living skills, routines and medication support.
\n
• Encourage community engagement, social participation and connection.
\n
• Create a safe, welcoming and recovery-focused environment for residents.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to individual support planning.
\n

What you'll bring: \n

• A minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant qualification in Mental Health or Community Services
\n
• A genuine commitment to supporting people on their recovery journey.
\n
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• A compassionate, resilient and person-centred approach.
\n
• The ability to remain calm, adaptable and professional in a dynamic environment.
\n
• An understanding of recovery-oriented practice and trauma-informed care.
\n
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
\n

About Us \n

For 60 years, St Bart's has supported people experiencing homelessness and severe and persistent mental health issues as they rebuild their lives. We started as a small homeless shelter for men and have grown into a progressive and inclusive organisation providing support to hundreds of Western Australian men, women and families across four key service areas. Our goal is to provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most, regardless of background, age, gender or ethnicity.
