As our Domain Architect – AI, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of AI across Zurich Australia and New Zealand. Sitting within our Technology team, you'll help define the architecture, capabilities and roadmap that enable AI solutions to be delivered safely, responsibly, and at scale, supporting our ambition to become Australia's leading digital insurer.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions, work alongside talented engineering and business teams, and turn emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions that create value for customers, employees and the wider business. You'll help establish the foundations that allow innovation to thrive while maintaining strong governance, security and compliance standards.

What does this look like in practice:

\n

\n
• Defining and evolving AI capabilities that support generative AI, agentic AI and machine learning solutions at scale
\n
• Developing architecture roadmaps and target-state designs for Zurich's AI platforms and capabilities
\n
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams integrating AI into business solutions
\n
• Evaluating, selecting and governing AI technologies to support innovation and business outcomes
\n
• Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions
\n
• Driving best practice across AI architecture, security, data privacy, compliance and governance frameworks
\n

You are a strategic thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and turning emerging technologies into practical business outcomes. You build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams, bring people together around a shared vision, and are passionate about mentoring others while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

\n

\n
• Significant experience in architecture roles delivering target states, roadmaps, capability models and solution designs
\n
• Experience designing and delivering AI and machine learning solutions into production environments
\n
• Strong knowledge of AI-specific non-functional requirements, including scalability, resilience, observability and governance
\n
• Experience guiding engineers and technical leaders to deliver solutions aligned with architectural intent
\n
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications and modern integration patterns including APIs
\n
