The Application Specialist is responsible for the technical ownership, support, and continuous improvement of critical HR applications, with a strong focus on Oracle HCM. Working closely with business stakeholders, this role ensures systems remain secure, reliable, well-governed, and aligned to business requirements while delivering ongoing operational value.

\n

This role is a full time permanent position based in Fortitude Valley.

Key responsibilities include: \n

• Acting as the technical owner and subject matter expert for HR platforms such as Oracle HCM, Pay Global / Aurion and Optima
\n
• Managing application operational health, configuration, access management and governance.
\n
• Lead continuous improvement of owned applications through system optimisation, automation, feature adoption, and elimination of manual workarounds.
\n
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee application upgrades, releases, and maintenance activities, including impact assessment, testing, and stakeholder communications .
\n
• Maintain application documentation, knowledge management, and cross-skilling practices to support operational continuity and supportability.
\n
• Manage vendor performance and support escalation management, coordinating the resolution of complex issues with internal stakeholders, vendors and technical specialists where required.
\n

• Experience supporting and enhancing Oracle HCM applications.
\n
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
\n
• Ability to partner with business system owners to identify and deliver system improvements.
\n
• Experience gathering, analysing, and translating business requirements into effective solutions.
\n
• Strong training, facilitation, and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
\n
• A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on user experience and business outcomes.
\n
• Ability to manage system enhancements, testing, change impacts, and release activities.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
