O&M is an Australian-born professional haircare brand. For almost 20 years we've made Clean Colour and kind haircare for hairdressers and their clients, and we've done it without compromising on colour performance or on how the brand looks and feels.

We're in salons across Australia plus 20 countries including US, the UK, all across Europe and beyond, and we're growing quickly in all of them. All of it runs from our global HQ in Sydney — the brand, the product, the strategy, the people building it. That's unusual for a brand our size and it's deliberate. What gets built here gets taken everywhere.

The role

We're creating three State Manager roles in Queensland, NSW & ACT, and Victoria. This is a genuine step up in how we run our field business, and these are the first three people to hold it. The way we run Australia is the model we take into every other market, so how you run your state matters well beyond your state.

You'll own the total O&M business in your patch. That means leading the Business Development Managers and Educators on the ground, owning the state plan and the state budget, and personally holding a small portfolio of your state's most significant salon relationships.

You'll spend your week coaching your team in the field, working the numbers, and sitting across the table from salon owners who matter to us.

What you'll be accountable for

  • The state's revenue, gross profit and account growth; the total number
  • Leading, coaching and developing the BDMs and Educators in your state
  • Building and defending the state plan: where the growth comes from, in what order, and what it costs
  • Personally holding and growing the state's largest accounts, including the hard negotiations
  • New account acquisition — the target list, the pipeline, the conversion
  • Making education a commercial lever rather than a service, with a real forward calendar
  • Running an operating rhythm the state can rely on, and reporting honestly on what's working and what isn't

For the right person that means structured investment in your leadership capability, time in our international markets supporting launches, training distributor and partner teams, working alongside our people in the US, UK and Europe and a real shot at an international role as those markets scale.

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of three years as a State Manager, Regional Manager or equivalent multi-territory sales leader. This role runs a state budget, coaches a team and holds our biggest customer relationships from week one, so we're hiring people who can do it on arrival.
  • A track record of carrying and delivering a sales number yourself
  • Real people leadership; evidence you've coached someone to measurably better performance, and that you've handled underperformance honestly
  • Commercial fluency: gross profit, margin, discount maths, pipeline coverage and budget variance without needing a spreadsheet to lean on
  • Senior account management and negotiation experience, including holding price under competitive pressure
  • Professional haircare, beauty or premium FMCG experience is a strong advantage; salon channel experience more so
  • Driver's licence and willingness to travel across your state regularly
