Engagement Manager

Our client is a high-growth Australian strategy consulting firm partnering with senior executives, boards and investors to solve complex strategic and commercial challenges.

Description

• Lead strategy engagements from problem definition through to final recommendations and implementation planning.
• Structure complex and ambiguous business problems into clear hypotheses and analytical workstreams.
• Manage and develop small teams of consultants.
• Set the analytical direction of engagements and ensure high-quality commercial and quantitative analysis.
• Deliver growth, market-entry, commercial, pricing and performance-improvement strategies.
• Lead market, competitor, customer and industry analysis.
• Build and review financial models, business cases and commercial assessments.
• Translate complex analysis into clear strategic insights and recommendations.
• Develop and present recommendations to CEOs, executives and other senior stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor junior members of the consulting team.
• Contribute to proposals, business development and new client opportunities.

Profile

• Approximately 5-8+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant strategy consulting experience.
• Experience within a leading strategy consultancy or similarly rigorous strategic environment..
• Excellent quantitative, financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• A strong academic background.

Candidates currently working within McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Partners in Performance, L.E.K., EY-Parthenon/Port Jackson Partners, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, Strategy& or other high-quality strategy environments would be particularly relevant.

They would also consider strong candidates from investment banking, corporate strategy, corporate development or investment backgrounds who can demonstrate equivalent analytical and strategic capability.
