Human Resources Business Partner

White Bay is partnering with a growing Australian SaaS business whose software supports the finance industry. As the organisation grows, it is strengthening its People & Culture function to build leadership capability, improve everyday people processes and deliver a consistent employee experience.

The business is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join as its People & Culture Partner. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will work closely with leaders and employees across a broad generalist remit, combining practical HR delivery with sound advice and constructive challenge.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with managers across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance, development and offboarding.
• Advising on employee relations matters, providing clear recommendations and supporting fair, consistent outcomes.
• Coaching leaders through feedback, performance concerns and difficult conversations, helping them build confidence and take ownership.
• Improving HR policies, processes and documentation so they are practical, consistent and suited to a growing organisation.
• Managing day-to-day people administration, maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring reliable follow-through.
• Maintaining HR systems and using people data and reporting to identify issues, inform decisions and recommend improvements.
• Supporting recruitment, talent development, engagement and culture initiatives alongside the wider People & Culture team.
• Applying Australian employment legislation and internal policies with sound judgement and appropriate confidentiality.

You will bring:

• Substantial experience in broad HR generalist, HR Business Partner or People & Culture roles, with direct responsibility across the employee lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience personally managing employee relations and performance matters, from understanding the issue through to resolution.
• The ability to listen carefully, ask focused questions and communicate clear, practical recommendations.
• Confidence advising managers, challenging assumptions constructively and maintaining productive relationships through difficult conversations.
• Strong operational discipline, with attention to detail across administration, documentation, systems and reporting.
• Experience improving people processes and taking initiatives through to implementation.
• Practical knowledge of Australian employment legislation and the ability to apply it to everyday workplace situations.

Experience within a growing technology, SaaS or professional services business would be valuable. You will be comfortable working in an environment where priorities evolve and where you can help establish more effective ways of working.

This role offers broad ownership, access to business leaders and the opportunity to work closely with the Head of People & Culture on both immediate priorities and longer-term improvements.
