About the Role \n

Are you a finance professional who enjoys going beyond the numbers?

Join our Mental Health team as a Finance and Business Officer and play an important role in supporting the effective management of financial, workforce and business resources across our services.

\n

Working closely with the Senior Finance Consultant, Finance Business Partner and Mental Health leadership team , you will turn financial information into meaningful insights, provide practical advice and help leaders make informed decisions that support the delivery of high-quality mental health services.

\n

You will bring your financial expertise and business acumen to a diverse and rewarding role, including:

\n

• Providing high-quality financial advice, analysis and support to Mental Health leaders and managers.
\n
• Supporting budget development, monitoring and forecasting , identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
\n
• Analysing financial and workforce information to identify significant variances and provide practical recommendations.
\n
• Preparing timely financial reports, exception reports and trend analysis to support informed decision-making.
\n
• Supporting workforce planning and providing financial advice for recruitment and establishment management.
\n
• Undertaking financial investigations and developing reports and recommendations on complex financial matters.
\n
• Identifying funding opportunities and financial impacts arising from organisational, legislative, policy and service changes.
\n
• Supporting revenue, billing, debtor management, purchasing, asset management and financial reconciliation processes.
\n
• Contributing to business cases, briefings, business planning and service improvement initiatives .
\n
• Working collaboratively with Finance, Payroll, other Local Health Networks, universities and external partners.
\n
• Supporting strong financial governance, risk management and compliance across Mental Health.
\n

• Hold or be progressing a relevant tertiary qualification

• Bring experience in financial analysis, reports and forecasts
