Business Development Manager

Location: Bassendean, WA Aury Australia is a global OEM of mineral processing equipment, specialising in vibrating screens, feeders, centrifuges, consumables and technical support for the mining industry.

As our Western Australian operations grow, we are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify and secure new opportunities across the state.

About the Role

Based in Bassendean, this market-development role is focused on winning new customers, expanding Aury Australia’s presence and building a sustainable pipeline across capital equipment, aftermarket, service and consumables.

You will engage with mining companies, mineral processing operations, engineering consultants and industry stakeholders, with regular planned travel to customer offices and mine sites throughout Western Australia.

Working with our sales, engineering, service and operations teams, you will manage opportunities from initial engagement through to proposal, negotiation and contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across Western Australia.
• Build a strong pipeline of capital equipment, replacement equipment, consumables, maintenance and service opportunities.
• Generate leads through targeted prospecting, networking, referrals and market intelligence.
• Develop relationships with mining companies, processing operations, consultants, EPCM organisations and industry partners.
• Identify upcoming projects, plant upgrades, replacement programs and operational improvement opportunities.
• Develop and execute a structured WA business development plan aligned with company growth objectives.
• Understand customer challenges and work with technical teams to develop suitable solutions.
• Manage the full sales process, including proposals, presentations, negotiations, forecasting and contract award.
• Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity pipelines and activity reports.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Represent Aury Australia at customer meetings, mine sites and industry events.

About You

• Demonstrated success in business development, technical sales or capital equipment sales within mining, mineral processing, engineering or heavy industry.
• A proven ability to identify, qualify and convert new opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of the Western Australian mining industry and key operating regions.
• Experience building relationships with new customers at operational, technical, procurement and senior-management levels.
• Sound knowledge of mineral processing equipment; experience with screens, feeders, centrifuges or materials handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Experience selling capital equipment, replacement components, consumables, maintenance solutions or technical services.
• Strong commercial acumen across proposals, negotiation, forecasting and margin management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A self-motivated, results-focused approach and the ability to work independently.
