Evergreen Health is looking for an experienced and genuinely caring Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Australia-wide Telehealth team.

We treat healthcare, clinical governance and looking after our patients with the utmost importance.

We're building a modern healthcare service where excellent clinicians can focus on providing excellent care; without spending their life sitting in traffic, dealing with unnecessary bureaucracy or pretending that every workplace meeting needed to be a meeting.

The hours

We're particularly looking to expand our availability during:

There’s absolutely no expectation to work across the entire availability window.

Whether you're available one evening a week, a few hours across the weekend, several regular sessions or something completely different within those windows, we'd love to hear from you.

We'd much rather have an excellent NP for a handful of hours each week, rather than fill a roster for the sake of filling a roster.

You’ll work completely remotely and nominate the availability that works around your life and existing commitments.

What you’ll actually be doing

As one of Evergreen’s Nurse Practitioners, you’ll provide safe, thoughtful and patient centred Telehealth care to patients across Australia.

Depending on your experience and clinical scope, this may include:

• General health consultations and clinical assessment.
• Assessment and management of appropriate acute and chronic presentations.
• Medication reviews and prescribing where clinically appropriate and within your scope.
• Referrals, pathology and investigations where appropriate.
• Preventative healthcare and ongoing patient management.
• Weight management consultations for suitably experienced practitioners.
• Alternative healthcare consultations for appropriately experienced practitioners.
• Clear, timely clinical documentation and follow-up.
• Recognising when Telehealth isn't appropriate and escalating patients to in-person, specialist or emergency care.
• Working collaboratively with Evergreen’s GPs, Nurse Practitioners and wider healthcare network.

And importantly:

You’re the clinician.

We don’t believe in prescribing quotas, predetermined clinical outcomes or telling practitioners what decision they should make.

Assess the patient, use your clinical judgement and do what is clinically appropriate.

Who we’re looking for

Qualifications matter, but we’re equally interested in how you practice.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Clinically Sharp: You have excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills and you’re comfortable making independent decisions.
• Personable: You can actually talk to patients like people. Warmth, empathy and clear communication matter to us.
• Independent: You’re comfortable practising autonomously, while also knowing when collaboration or escalation is the right call.
• Safe: You’re comfortable saying “no” when something isn’t clinically appropriate, even when that’s not what the patient hoped to hear.
• Curious: You enjoy learning and keeping your clinical knowledge current.
• Adaptable: Telehealth is different from sitting in a consulting room. You’re comfortable with technology and can build rapport through a screen.
• Accountable: Your notes are good, your follow-up is reliable and things don’t mysteriously disappear into the clinical abyss.
• Easy to work with: We do things properly, but we’re also building a workplace with a team who enjoy working together.

The essentials

You’ll need current unrestricted AHPRA registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, appropriate Australian clinical experience, the right to work in Australia, and appropriate professional indemnity insurance covering your scope of practice and Telehealth work.

As this is an independent contractor position, you’ll also need an ABN or be willing to establish the appropriate contracting structure.

Eligibility to obtain or maintain the necessary Medicare/provider credentials relevant to the services you provide will also be required where applicable.

Weight management or Alternative Healthcare experience?

Great! We’d particularly like to hear from you.

Experience or additional training in weight management, obesity/metabolic health and/or medicinal cannabis care and SAS-B processes will be highly regarded and reflected in remuneration.

Don’t have that experience?

That’s completely fine too.

If you’re an excellent NP with strong general clinical skills and you’re interested in developing capability in these areas, we’d still love to hear from you. We’re happy to support suitable practitioners with training, systems and professional development as Evergreen grows.

We care much more about finding the right clinician than ticking every box on day one.

A growing multidisciplinary team. Work alongside GPs, NPs and other healthcare professionals.

Professional development. Opportunities to develop further experience in areas such as weight management and Alternative Healthcare where appropriate.

Responsive leadership. If something isn’t working, we’d rather hear about it and fix it than create a committee to discuss creating another committee.
