As an After-Hours Nurse Manager at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, you’ll take the lead when it matters most — coordinating patient flow, supporting staff, responding to critical situations and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care across the facility.

You Will

• Coordinate patient flow, bed allocation and clinical priorities.
• Respond to emergencies and changing clinical situations.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to staff.
• Manage competing priorities with confidence and sound judgement.
• Promote safe, person-centred and evidence-informed care.
• Foster strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will bring strong clinical judgement, leadership and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive in a dynamic environment.

Experience in operational, acute or critical care is highly desirable.

To Be Successful, You Will

• Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Have relevant postgraduate leadership or management qualifications, or willingness to undertake study.
• Demonstrate strong clinical leadership, judgement and decision-making.
• Deliver safe, person-centred, evidence-informed care.
• Respond confidently to emergencies and changing priorities.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
