About the opportunity

Join Mercy Hospital for Women as a Pool Midwife and work across a variety of Maternity and specialist areas and be part of our collaborative and dynamic team. Mercy Hospital for Women is a public Specialist Teaching Hospital in Heidelberg. You will play an integral role whilst working in motivated clinical teams. Shifts would be based in Birth Suites, Post-Natal / Antenatal wards, Fetal Monitoring, Outpatients, HDU, and the Emergency Department. Education support will be provided, and you:

• Play an integral role in a motivated clinical team with a family-centered care approach
• Provide best-practice patient care as a member of the multidisciplinary team
• Full time and part-time positions available

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in maternity services as a registered midwife.
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Additional requirements

• Required evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
