Shellharbour City Council is seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Management Accountant on a temporary full-time basis until December 2028, to help shape financial decision-making across one of NSW's fastest growing regional cities.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this role offers the opportunity to partner with managers across the organisation to challenge assumptions, analyse trends, support informed decision-making and contribute to the long-term sustainability of our community.

Key Responsibilities

You are a naturally curious accounting professional who enjoys uncovering the insights behind the numbers. You combine strong analytical skills with attention to detail and can communicate financial information in a clear and practical way.

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• The confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and investigate issues to identify better outcomes.

• Temporary full time, 35 hours per week with access to flexi-time & hybrid work options until 22 December 2028.
• Salary range from $92,894 up to $102,563 per annum (based on qualifications, skills and experience)
