National Finance Manager

We're looking for a National Finance Manager to lead our finance function day to day and keep the engine room running across our network of sites.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Officer, you'll lead a team of 9 and own the operational side of finance - budgeting, cash flow, controls, compliance and reporting. The big opportunity is streamlining practices: applying the same standards and discipline across every department and site, backed by smarter processes and better use of technology. You'll partner with our Strategic Finance Lead, who owns long-term planning and modelling, while you make sure it gets delivered on the ground.

Your focus will include:

• Leading the national finance function and developing the team
• Embedding strong financial controls across the business
• Reporting and analysis - deliver monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, budgets and forecasts, and analyse revenue, costs, cash flow and performance against budget.
• Oversee and manage cash flow, banking, bank guarantees, accounts payable and receivable, receipting, payments and reconciliations.
• Ensuring taxation and statutory obligations are met including - FBT, PAYG, GST, payroll tax, super and WorkCover
• Managing auditor and tax agent relationships
• Systems and continuous improvement - driving continuous improvement across the function, harnessing technology to build efficiencies, improve finance systems, workflows and dashboards

About you

You're a confident, down-to-earth finance leader who gets things done right - and keeps them that way. You bring:

• A proactive, energetic and ambitious mindset
• Proven experience leading budgeting, cash flow, consolidations and financial controls in a large entity, multi-site business
• Experience in large entity businesses
• Experience leading and developing a finance team
• A track record of standardising practices across a large, distributed team
• Strong knowledge of Australian statutory and tax obligations
• A continuous-improvement mindset and comfort using technology to cut out manual work
• Hands-on experience with Xero and integrating point-of-sale data
• Confidence partnering with auditors, tax agents and senior stakeholders
• CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years' experience in a senior finance leadership role
• A current police check, or willingness to obtain one
