\nAbout the Role:\n
\nOur client is seeking an experienced Head of Logistics to lead our end-to-end supply chain, from farm to customer. This senior role combines strategy, team leadership, and hands-on execution to ensure on-time, cost-efficient, and compliant product flow for our perishable farming operations.\n
\n
\nKey responsibilities\n
\n• Develop and execute the end-to-end logistics strategy aligned with growth goals.\n
\n• Lead and develop the logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams; foster a safety- and performance-driven culture.\n
\n• Plan demand and inventory with production, manage cold-chain logistics, and optimize stock levels.\n
\n• Oversee inbound/outbound transportation, carrier selection, rate negotiation, routing, and last-mile delivery.\n
\n• Ensure food safety, product traceability, labelling, and regulatory compliance (Australian standards).\n
\n• Implement and optimize ERP/WMS/TMS solutions; leverage data to drive continuous improvement.\n
\n• Monitor KPIs (OTIF, order accuracy, transport cost per unit, inventory turns, spoilage, safety).\n
\n
\nQualifications\n
\n• 3-5+ years in logistics/supply chain with leadership experience; experience in agriculture/food supply chain, logistics, or a related field\n
\n• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proficient with ERP/WMS/TMS systems.\n
\n• Knowledge of Australian food safety/regulatory requirements; experience with perishable goods is a plus.\n
\n
