Social Media & Content Specialist

Love creating content people actually want to watch? Gelatissimo is looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist to help bring our brand to life across TikTok and Instagram.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can spot a great story, turn an idea into content and take it all the way from concept and filming through to editing and publishing. You’ll help us build an always-on social presence centred around the joy of gelato – the people who make it, the craft behind it, what happens behind the scenes and the moments that make people love Gelatissimo.

About the role

Working closely with our Marketing team, you’ll own the day-to-day rhythm of Gelatissimo’s organic social content across TikTok and Instagram. We’re looking for someone who understands the difference between making an ad and making content people genuinely choose to watch.

One day you might be filming with our innovation team as they develop a new flavour. The next, you could be capturing content in one of our stores, jumping on a trend, interviewing a franchisee or turning a customer comment into a TikTok. You’ll have the freedom to find the personalities, stories and recurring formats that can make Gelatissimo distinctive, entertaining and relevant in social.

What you’ll be doing

• Own our always-on social content engine across TikTok and Instagram.
• Concept, shoot, edit and publish Reels, TikToks, Stories and other short-form content.
• Find and tell stories from across our stores, kitchen, innovation team, franchisees and customers.
• Bring the craft behind our gelato to life – from ingredients and flavour development to experimentation and production.
• Develop recurring content series, formats and personalities that audiences recognise and want to come back for.
• Spend time in stores and with our wider team capturing spontaneous, reactive and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Write strong hooks, scripts, captions and on‑screen copy designed for social.
• Turn product launches, campaigns, partnerships and new store openings into entertaining social‑first stories.
• Stay across TikTok, Instagram, food trends and internet culture to identify opportunities Gelatissimo can authentically be part of.
• Manage the social content calendar while balancing planned content with reactive opportunities.
• Engage with our community and identify comments, UGC and customer interactions that could become content.
• Track performance and use insights to continually test and improve our creative approach.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have 3+ years’ experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing or a similar creative role, with a portfolio that shows you know how to create great social‑first content.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong hands‑on filming, photography and editing skills using phones, lightweight production equipment and tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar.
• A strong creative instinct and an ability to find interesting stories in everyday moments.
• A deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram – including trends, formats, platform behaviours and what makes someone stop scrolling.
• Strong copywriting skills across hooks, scripts, captions and on‑screen text.
• An understanding of social analytics and a willingness to test, learn and adapt.
• A proactive mindset – you naturally look for ideas and opportunities rather than waiting for a brief.
• The ability to move quickly while staying organised across multiple priorities.
• A genuine interest in food, hospitality, culture and how brands build communities through social.
• Confidence both behind and in front of the camera, comfortable filming others as well as becoming part of the content when needed, presenting naturally and bringing energy and personality on screen.

We want Gelatissimo to become a brand people actively choose to follow, not just one they hear from when we launch a new flavour. You’ll help us build a consistent pipeline of original content, establish recognisable formats and personalities, grow organic reach and engagement, create more conversation and sharing, and continually improve what we make based on what our audience responds to.

Ultimately, your content should make people crave Gelatissimo – both the gelato and the experience behind it.
