Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Catholic educator to join our Leadership Team in 2027.

\n

We are looking for a highly relational leader passionate about Catholic education, developing teacher capacity and improving outcomes for every student. The successful applicant will demonstrate contemporary educational practice, effective leadership and a strong commitment to collaboration, professional growth and the strategic direction of our school.

Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 with an enrolment of 450 students. Our school has a strong connection with Mary MacKillop Parish, creating a welcoming and supportive community grounded in our Catholic identity. We place a strong emphasis on pastoral care, inclusion, dignity and the development of the whole child, celebrating and embracing students and families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

An integral part of our school community is the St Joseph's Centre, which provides specialised support for students with diverse learning, social, emotional and additional needs. The Centre works collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure students are included, supported and provided with opportunities to participate meaningfully in all aspects of school life.

Selection Criteria

• Be supportive and actively involved in the Catholic Church and demonstrate the ability to help build our Catholic identity and culture.
\n
• Excellent classroom practice that promotes cooperation, communication and student confidence, while increasing engagement through the effective use of high impact instructional strategies, including Cooperative Learning.
\n
• Work alongside educators to facilitate an inclusive curriculum where access, participation and learning outcomes of students with diverse educational and additional needs are provided for.
\n
• Have the ability to analyse and use student data to lead staff in raising student levels of achievement, drive future focus and guide school improvement processes.
\n
• Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated educator who values the importance of teamwork and collaborative planning.
\n
• Be a proven leader with an ability to use initiative, introduce new ideas, drive change and inspire and mentor staff.
\n
• Have the ability to engage in reflective dialogue with colleagues, observation of instruction, coaching, student engagement and assessment data.
\n
• Lead curriculum, the delivery of effective pedagogy, and build the capacity of others.
\n
• Have a high level of organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage with all levels of the school and educational community.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor of Education
\n
• Be an active member of the Catholic Church
\n
• Have a minimum of seven years' experience
\n
• Accreditation for Leadership of the Religious Education Learning Area
\n
