HC Driver

RICHERS TRANSPORT PTY LTD is seeking a casual HC Driver - (full time hours) with forklift licence to join our team based in Gympie, QLD. You will play a vital role in our road transport operations, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods across Queensland. This position will be in a shared truck with a combination of local deliveries and short haul trips.

What you'll be doing

• Operate heavy vehicles, in a safe and professional manner, delivering general freight to local businesses. It also includes regular short haul trips within SEQ
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring cargo is secured and transported in accordance with regulations
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to ensure on-time and reliable service
• Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations, safety protocols, and company policies

What we're looking for

• Hold a valid HC (Heavy Combination) driver's licence
• Hold a valid Forklift licence
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating in vehicles in a professional road transport environment
• Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe driving practices
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete necessary paperwork and logs
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and customers
• A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
