Queensland South Native Title Services (QSNTS) is a Native Title Service Provider funded by the Federal Government to assist Traditional Owners in the pursuit of their native title aspirations by providing a comprehensive range of statutory services under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).

Full time, permanent position based in Brisbane, reporting to the Lead Solicitor within the Legal Division.
As part of the QSNTS legal division and under the guidance of a qualified legal practitioner, you will assist in the delivery of a comprehensive and holistic legal service to progress and complete native title determination applications or compensation claims under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), support Traditional Owners to pursue their native title rights and interests, and support Prescribed Bodies Corporate to manage native title in the post-determination space.
Excellent attention to detail.
Sound oral and written communication skills, and excellent telephone manner.
Proficiency on a Windows platform and skills and experience using a range of software packages including the Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing tasks, with excellent time management skills.
Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
A current open driver's licence and willing and able to undertake regular travel throughout Queensland.
A commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and working safely in accordance with QSNTS policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of the cultural, political, economic, environmental and social issues affecting First Nations people would be advantageous.
Previous experience in a paralegal role is desirable.
