Accounts Receivable Officer

This is a hands‑on role responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and supporting the wider Finance team with reporting, cash flow and month‑end activities.

TCL Electronics Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team.

This is a hands‑on role responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and supporting the wider Finance team with reporting, cash flow and month‑end activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of accounts receivable and credit control, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and outstanding accounts are followed up in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and maintain all Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on on‑hold and overdue accounts through phone calls and emails.

• Investigate and assist with customer complaints, account queries and payment‑related issues.

• Take responsibility for the Credit Control function in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Perform ongoing reconciliation of customer accounts, including allocation and offsetting of receipts, disputed invoices and sales allowances.

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date Accounts Receivable Aging reports.

• Prepare monthly sales and performance reports for key management.

• Assist with cash flow forecasting and preparation.

• Assist with month‑end closing and related Finance activities.

• Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of contract renewals and new contract formations.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service and other internal teams to resolve account issues.

• Perform other duties and financial administration tasks as requested by the Financial Controller.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar Finance role is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and credit control processes.

• Good reconciliation and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence dealing with customers regarding outstanding payments.

• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• A proactive and solutions‑focused approach to resolving account queries and discrepancies.

• Good Microsoft Excel skills and general computer literacy.

• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment.

• Experience working with an ERP or SAP accounting system will be highly regarded.
