Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and install aviation-critical air conditioning and mechanical systems that support Australia's National Airways System.

What you’ll do

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.
• Undertaking installation and project activities on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
• Maintaining an awareness of operational impacts when performing work on Airservices systems.
• Accurately recording maintenance activities within maintenance management systems.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Working effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery.
• Supporting and coaching team members where required.
• Complying with safety, environmental, risk and governance requirements.
• Working independently and managing tasks with limited supervision

• Significant experience maintaining and installing commercial and industrial HVAC systems including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building control systems, packaged units and split systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• The ability to plan, prioritise and organise work effectively with limited guidance.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
• A commitment to safety, teamwork and exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

The following qualifications are essential to be considered for this role:

• Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Current Restricted Electrical Licence (or Victorian equivalent).
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current CPR/LVR qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Australian Citizenship (required to obtain and maintain the necessary Defence Baseline Security Clearance).
• Relevant trade licences required under legislative and Airservices requirements

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• ACMA Data Cabling Licence.
• Experience with diesel generators and power generation systems.
• High Risk Work Licence - Dogging.
• Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working within operational, critical infrastructure or aviation environments.

Security Clearance

To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance and Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
