Diverse Capacity Builders, based in Geraldton in the Mid West region of Western Australia, provides tailored services that empower people with disabilities to build capacity and independence. The organization operates within the NDIS framework and is supported by a team of qualified, accredited professionals. Led by experienced social worker Jacqueline Law, the team brings strong expertise in mental health support, disability support, and family services. Core services include NDIS support coordination (Levels 2 and 3), psychosocial recovery coaching, and counselling, delivered with a person-centered and inclusive approach.
The Occupational Therapist will work full time in a hybrid capacity, based in Geraldton, WA, with some opportunities to work from home depending on client and service needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing clients’ functional abilities, developing and implementing individualized intervention plans, and providing evidence-based occupational therapy to support independence in daily living, community participation, and meaningful activities. The role involves collaborating with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate NDIS-funded supports, document progress, and prepare professional reports and recommendations. The Occupational Therapist will conduct home and community visits, deliver rehabilitation programs, and contribute to psychosocial recovery planning, while maintaining accurate clinical records and adhering to relevant professional and NDIS standards.
