About the role \n
Absolute Health & Skin Clinic is seeking a Receptionist to join our team in Norman Gardens, QLD. This is a casual position that plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional first impression for our patients. As Receptionist, you will be the face of our clinic, managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and ensuring our clinic operates smoothly. This position is essential to our clinic's success, as you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient experiences and supporting our clinical team to focus on providing quality healthcare and skin treatments.
What you'll be doing \n
Greeting patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanour and managing the reception area
\n
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using clinic management systems
\n
Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
\n
Managing patient inquiries by phone, email and in person, providing information about services and treatments
\n
Processing payments and handling cash, card and electronic transactions securely
\n
Managing clinic scheduling to optimise appointment availability and minimise patient wait times
\n
Ordering and maintaining clinic supplies and materials as required
\n
Assisting with administrative tasks including filing, data entry and general office organisation
\n
Supporting the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring a clean, hygienic environment
\n
Following clinic policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols and infection control measures
What we're looking for \n
Previous reception or customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or medical setting
\n
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
\n
Strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks efficiently
\n
Proficiency with computer systems and clinic management software, or willingness to learn quickly
\n
A friendly, patient and empathetic approach to patient care and support
\n
Attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient information and administrative tasks
\n
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
\n
Flexibility to work casual hours as required by the clinic
\n
A current Working With Children Check (if applicable) or willingness to obtain one
\n
Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology and clinic operations is desirable but not essential
