BPA Early Learning is seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Coordinator (2IC) and Educational Leader to join our Long Day Care and Kindergarten team at Alexandra Avenue Children's Centre at Sunshine.

The Alexandra Avenue Children's Centre andKindergarten is awelcoming and inclusive place where every child and family is respected, valued and supported. Alexandra Avenue provides 129 place services in a sessional kindergarten and long day Care.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, Early Childhood Teacher and Diploma qualified 2IC to join our teams on Full time basis ongoing role off the floor. The Educational Leader plays a key role in guiding and designing curriculum development, supporting reflective practice, and mentoring educators to strengthen teaching and learning across the service. Working closely with the leadership team, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Working collaboratively with the Service Manager and teaching team, the Educational Leader will drive continuous improvement, foster reflective practice, and ensure curriculum excellence aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework (VEYLDF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the Centre Coordinator with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service.
• Step into additional leadership responsibilities when Nominated Supervisor is absent.
• Develop, implement, document and evaluate children's educational programs.
• Promote children's agency, interests, strengths, culture and individual needs.
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to educators.
• Build a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture.
• Assist with staffing and rostering to support continuity of care.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Support child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and compliance.
• Contribute to the service's NQS self-assessment and QIP.
• Support risk management, incident response and continuous improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with families, educators and management.

• Have a great computer skills to use multiple platform to communicate
• Confident making decisions and responding to challenges.
• Committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Knowledgeable about the National Quality Framework, NQS and Victorian Early Years Learning Development Frameworks.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with families, educators and external professionals.
• Previous Assistant Coordinator experience is desirable, but we also welcome experienced Room Leaders who are ready to take the next step into leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education Care. (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA).
• High Level understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework, Education Care Services National Law and Regulations, The National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• A valid working rights to work in Australia.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
• Experience working with children with a wide range of diverse additional needs.
