About Ravenhall Correctional Centre

\n

Ravenhall is a 1,300-bed medium-security prison for adult sentenced and remand men. Its contemporary campus-style design reflects four accommodation communities with varying profiles. Community accommodation is complemented by a further 75-bed Forensic Mental Health Unit, a 25-bed unit for prisoners with significant challenging behaviours, and a 25-bed Mission Unit designed to respond intensively and therapeutically to current community issues.

In recognition of the importance of the Continuum of Care, Ravenhall extends its presence into the community by providing ex-prisoners with access to post-release support at GEO's Community Reintegration Centre.

\n

Ravenhall's emphasis on offender rehabilitation and reintegration is supported by a significantly resourced team of clinicians who work in partnership with a number of Victoria's most respected organisations, including Forensicare, YMCA and Kangan Institute. Working collaboratively, Ravenhall seeks to bring about lasting positive change in the lives of prisoners before and after release, with the ultimate aim of reducing reoffending.

About The Opportunity

\n

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the leadership, governance, clinical oversight and management of clinical service delivery across the Centre, ensuring continuity of care for offenders while they are in custody and upon release into the community as required.

\n

The role provides oversight of centre-wide priorities and ensures clinical service delivery is responsive to operational and rehabilitative needs across the location. This includes working collaboratively with other teams, particularly operational managers, to support integrated service planning, coordinated responses and effective management of centre-wide priorities.

\n

As the Clinical Manager you will:

\n

\n
• Provide clinical oversight and management of the delivery of services across the Centre, ensuring services are aligned with centre-wide priorities and responsive to emerging operational, rehabilitative and clinical needs.
\n
• Manage and oversee clinical service delivery to people in our care across the location, including those accommodated in specialised units such as the Close Supervision Unit and Forbes Management Unit.
\n
• Develop, manage and monitor the schedule of interventions to ensure contractual obligations are met, resources are appropriately allocated, and those in our care receive timely access to programs and services.
\n
• Provide ongoing clinical supervision, mentoring and performance management to Principal Clinicians and Principal Clinical Lead, including the identification of training needs to promote professional development
\n
• Ensure that Principal Clinicians and their teams effectively, efficiently and accurately maintain data systems to ensure accurate reporting against performance metrics relevant to clinical service delivery.
\n
• Work closely with the Rehabilitative Services Manager to monitor performance against key metrics, support achievement of agreed outcomes, and identify, communicate and elevate risks that may impact service delivery or contractual performance.
\n
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and operational managers to align clinical service delivery with centre operations, support timely information sharing, and coordinate responses to emerging priorities and risks.
\n
• Represent clinical services where required in a range of multidisciplinary meetings and in liaison with internal and external stakeholders
\n
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
\n
• Build strong internal and external partnerships to support integrated service delivery.
\n
• Maintain relationships with local universities and support the regular engagement of postgraduate student placements.
\n
• Ensure adherence to ethical, legal and organisational standards.
\n
• Represent the organisation at relevant networks, forums and meetings.
\n
• Ensure programs comply with relevant legislation, standards and funding requirements

Your Skills & Experience

\n

\n
• Relevant tertiary qualifications as a psychologist, social worker or other registered health professional with substantial experience in clinical service delivery, leadership and governance.
\n
• Current registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional body, consistent with professional discipline and scope of practice.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership, supervision and management across multidisciplinary teams, including oversight of service quality, clinical governance and professional practice.
\n
• Demonstrated capacity to provide centre-wide oversight of clinical service delivery, ensuring services are responsive to operational, rehabilitative and clinical priorities across the Centre.
\n
• Experience coordinating and managing service delivery across a location
\n
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, trauma-informed care, behaviour support, offender rehabilitation and the delivery of evidence-informed interventions in a custodial environment.
\n
• Extensive experience working with high-risk or forensic populations.
\n
• Excellent communication, decision-making, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to emerging centre-wide priorities in a complex operating environment.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide collaborative leadership and work effectively as part of multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams, including building strong working relationships with operational managers to support integrated service delivery, timely information sharing, shared problem-solving, coordinated decision-making and responsive management of centre-wide priorities.
\n
• Knowledge of and commitment to reintegration and post-release support frameworks.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage resource allocation to effectively meet key contractual obligations and performance measures
