Safety Advisor/Compliance Officer

We provide specialist design, civil works, cable installation, jointing and terminating services to the energy infrastructure industry across Australia and New Zealand, specialising in major sub-transmission and transmission design and construct underground projects.

Given our continual growth our Brisbane operation based at Wakerley has a requirement for a Safety Advisor/Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

Be the driving force behind the safety culture, leading by example and instilling safe practices in all team members

Conduct regular safety inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe work enviroment

Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions to team members

Investigate and report incidents promptly, analysing root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence

Maintain accurate safety records, reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirments

Conduct safety audits and assessments, working closely with Project Managers to address any safety related issues

Support site management in project delivery requirements

Inductions and onboarding of new staff/subcontractors

To be successful

Industry experience Electrical/Civil industries preffered

Proven experience as a Safety Advisor

Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite

The ability to maintain accurate documentation

Proficiency in identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments and implementing effective safety measures

Team player being able to engage with internal staff, management, suppliers and clients
