The Role

Take the next step in your career in this permanent full-time Team Leader role, working Monday to Friday within our Adult Community Mental Health Team in Frankston.

Working closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Psychiatrist, the Team Leader provides high-quality clinical leadership and plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of services for consumers, their families and carers.

The role provides leadership, guidance and support to staff, contributing to clinical governance, workforce development, service quality and positive consumer outcomes. As a senior clinician and leader within the service, you will help foster a positive team culture and support staff to deliver safe, effective and recovery-oriented care.

In partnership with the Team Manager, the Team Leader contributes to the effective operation of the service, including workforce coordination, human resource and financial management, service planning, operational targets and key performance indicators. Maintaining a clinical caseload is a key feature of the role, providing the opportunity to remain connected to consumer care, support clinical decision-making and maintain a contemporary understanding of the challenges and opportunities within community mental health service delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician to further develop their leadership capability while remaining actively engaged in clinical practice, influencing service delivery, workforce development and positive outcomes for consumers, families and carers.

Skills & Experience Required

Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration

RPN ONLY: Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health qualification

Demonstrated management and leadership experience

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care

• Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic interventions and role model practice aligned with the Recovery-Oriented Framework.

Training in the provision of clinical supervision

• Current Victorian Driver's License
